The Break Up Math
Not everyone should break up with The Knot and WeddingWire. If your listings bring you great bookings, keep them. The only way to know is to do the math, so let's do it together.

An example of a listing worth keeping: a lead that costs $150 and closes 10% of the time works out to $1,500 per booking. If that booking brings you $15,000 in profit, keeping the listing is a no brainer.

It's free. Search for Google Business Profile, claim your business, and fill it out completely. Add your logo and plenty of photos.

"If you have any feedback you'd like to share, here's my Google link. I would really appreciate it!"Add a Patch Listing (My Most Overlooked Strategy)
Add a free business listing on Patch for the metro area closest to you. If you can, consider a premium listing at about $75 to $80 a month, with a link back to your site. Patch is a high authority site, its pages get indexed by Google, and very few wedding or event businesses think to list there. You can also publish community posts there to announce new services. My template is below.

A Patch Listing That Reads Like a Story
Most business listings read like ads, and people skip them. Mine reads like a short news story, and that is why it works. Here is the structure I use, ready for you to fill in.
- Open with your customer's words. Start with the line you hear from clients all the time.
- Give one proof number. Years in business, weddings served, or events per year.
- Name the real problem, then explain what you offer and who it's for.
- Close with a quote from you and a link back to your site.
